[NOTICE] K-ETA Temporary Exemption Extended Until Dec. 31, 2025

K-ETA is mandatory for nationals from visa-free entry countries who enter Korea without a visa.

However, the Ministry of Justice has extended the temporary K-ETA exemption period until December 31, 2025 (KST) as part of the “Visit Korea Year” initiative.

Extended K-ETA temporary exemption period: From January 1, 2025 (Wed) to December 31, 2025 (Wed) (KST)

※ Countries/Regions with K-ETA Exemption:

  • Asia: Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Macao

  • Americas: Canada, US (incl. Guam)

  • Europe: UK, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Belgium, Denmark, Austria

  • Oceania: Australia, New Zealand

 

* Travelers from the above countries can enter Korea without applying for K-ETA until the exemption period ends.
