Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA)

K-ETA is mandatory for nationals of visa-exempt countries who wish to enter the Republic of Korea without a visa. Applicants are advised to apply for K-ETA at least 72 hours prior to boarding their flight to Korea.

K-ETA applications can be submitted through the official K-ETA website or the mobile application (K-ETA).

Notice

  • The K-ETA fee is 10,000 KRW per person (approximately 9–10 USD, excluding additional charges) and is non-refundable, even if the application is denied. The K-ETA Center is not responsible for any additional fees charged by third parties (e.g., agencies).
  • The validity period of K-ETA (generally three years) is separate from the permitted period of visa-free stay. Entry under K-ETA does not allow visitors to exceed the visa-free stay duration granted based on their nationality. The permitted length of stay per entry varies by nationality. Please refer to the K-ETA Application Eligibility Guide for details.
  • K-ETA approval may be denied or canceled if false or inaccurate information is submitted. In such cases, the applicant may be subject to penalties or entry restrictions under relevant Korean laws. This also applies to applications submitted on behalf of the applicant.
