The ATW 2026 Organizing Committee will present various awards
and prizes to promote scientific activities.

Best Abstract Awards

  • The best abstracts, selected through the review process, will be awarded. Abstracts selected for Gold and Silver will be presented in the Plenary Sessions.

Vanguard Award

  • Presenting authors of selected abstracts who meet the following requirements will be considered for the Vanguard Award.
  • Abstracts selected for the Vanguard Award will be presented in the Vanguard Award Session.

Eligibility

  • Must be under 42 years of age at the time of the award (born in 1985 or later, as of 2026).

  • One presenter will be selected from each Mini-oral Presentation Session based on the chair’s on-site evaluation.

  • The Coordinator Award will be presented to outstanding abstracts submitted to the Coordinator section.

Tax-related Documents Required for Payment of Scientific Award

  • Due to the 2026 amendment to the Korean tax law, Scientific Award recipients (non-residents) must submit all required documents listed below to receive tax exemption under the applicable tax treaty; otherwise, the award will be subject to a 22% withholding tax in accordance with Korean tax regulations.

Please note that
  • Scientific awardees will be notified individually in advance via email, together with detailed instructions regarding the required documents. Selected applicants will be required to submit the necessary documents in accordance with these instructions.
  • The original Tax Residency Certificate must be brought to the congress venue for on-site submission. Please note that the issuance of this certificate may take approximately 1-3 weeks depending on the country.
  • If any of the five required documents listed above are not submitted, the scientific award will be subject to a 22% withholding tax in accordance with Korean tax regulations.
